A folly for the London Pleasure Gardens commissioned by the RIBA.

Our approach to the folly brief was to create an object that can be used in a number of ways. It’s a place for meeting, something to play on, a shelter from the wind and rain, slopes for sunning yourself on a summer’s day and a place to rest.

The form has been developed through a series of models made by willing volunteers reacting to the above activities, the one stipulation being that the form will be in some way natural.

The folly will be finished in bright peppermint stripes, remeniscent of a deckchair or victorian candy sticks.
